Additional Information
Red Meepits live in a different way than any other Meepits. They love water more than any other Meepit. Their homes are
tunnels built into the shoreline, which is half-submerged in water.
A Red Meepit will jump in water and start digging at the shore. Eventually the tunnel will be half full of water. The
Meepit's Sleeping Room will go up into a dry land and so will the storage room.
Male Red Meepits love carrots, and some have even transplanted entire carrot patches so when the carrots grow they
breach the tunnel roof and the Red Meepit can eat the carrot from the safety of it's own den. Otherwise they leave the carrots
in the Food Storage cavern.
Female Red Meepits are often seen swimming in the water to search for males or vice versa. Female Red Meepits love
to eat peas and often store them in their mouth and eat them while swimming. Once they find a tunnel they will sniff the air
to see if the possible mate is taken by another. Once a family of Red Meepits is started the female will stay at home with
the kin and the male Red Meepit will fetch the food.
Eventually the tunnel will grow and more caverns will be added. A large Red Meepit family will grow. Red Meeptis are
often seen playing by the shore with Yellow Meepits. A Red Meepit, on average, takes at least five swims a day.
